Trent Lott was a Target by Flynt; Lover Denies It

Adult entertainment titan Larry Flynt's desire to find out any and all closet secrets about GOP politicians has had many successes. The recent revelation is that Trent Lott might have had relations with a 15 year old male escort. Lott announced his upcoming resignation Monday, and Flynt says he's received a lot of inquiries since. The escort denied it of course in an e-mail to The Huffington Post, as if there is no conflict of interest whatsoever. Who wouldn't pick Trent Lott's money over Flynt's measly little offered reward?

Dana Perino's Response to McClellan Book: Bush Never Lies

The irony in this is quite amusing. As if on purpose, Press Security Dana Perino responded Monday in an off-camera dialogue at the White House to the subject of former secretary Scott McClellan's upcoming book, which is expected to unleash a lot of dirty secrets from his time there under the Bush administration. On cue, McClellan's book publisher quickly came out with a retraction that let everyone know that he doesn't mean to imply that Bush ever knowingly lied to him. Perino commented by saying that Bush does not and has not "knowingly" lied. This coming from Dana Perino... she sure shares Bush's arrogance, that's for sure. I wouldn't however, expect her to be writing any truthful books or memoirs after leaving the White House, being the soulless career-pushing liar that she is. They must have some kind of undefined explanation for these kinds of statements, because... Bush never lies/lied?

Today at the off-camera briefing, White House Press Secretary Dana Perino said she has discussed Scott McClellan's forthcoming book with the president, and Perino said President Bush "has not and would not knowingly pass false information."

In the yet-to-be-published book, McClellan's publisher says the former press secretary claims five White House officials -- including the president and vice president -- were responsible for McClellan passing incorrect information on the CIA leak case. As White House press secretary, McClellan had stated that officials including Karl Rove were not involved in leaking the identity of CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson.

Evidence at the Libby trial showed that Rove had discussed war critic Joe Wilson's wife and her CIA employment with two reporters. Ari Fleischer did so as well, according to court testimony.

Trent Lott Bows Out

Everybody's favorite idiot in Congress is actually calling it quits. Trent Lott will be leaving his post by the end of the year, after which Mississippi will be able to vote in another idiot, albeit with much less clout in Washington at least. People will no doubt come up with their own numerous theories of why he decided to retire, but it really doesn't matter. The race-carders will do as they always do and only talk about him being a 'racist' for voicing his own displeasures a few years ago of the out of control non-Caucasian crime, but will ignore the bigger benefits of having him out of there. I guess his complete biased loyalty to Bush will somehow take a backseat to a few racial comments in the past, which certainly sums up the Democrats. When such a foolish and traitorous politician leaves office, it should be thought of as a good thing, but not when he/she comes from Mississippi. Now he will enjoy the many benefits of resigning after such a bad legacy, as he gets paid big bucks to lie about his career like all the rest of them have. Good riddance anyway.

More Layoffs on the Way at Citigroup

It appears Citigroup is preparing for another, much larger set of layoffs after the 17,000 cuts earlier this year. This comes after failed CEO Charles Prince resigned earlier this month, with a typically hefty exit package. The ball is in the Federal Reserve's court, with their move expected to come next month.

Citing people with knowledge of the matter, CNBC said the total number of employees affected could be as high as 45,000. Citigroup currently employs 275,000 staff, according to its website.

A Citigroup spokesman said the bank was assessing ways to cut costs.

"We are engaged in a planning process in anticipation of our new CEO and our business heads are planning ways in which we can be more efficient and cost effective to position our businesses in line with economic realities. Any reports on specific numbers are not factual," the Citigroup spokesman told AFP.

The banking giant is reeling from its exposure to the US housing slump and a related credit squeeze.

The banking behemoth is also searching for a new chief executive officer after former CEO Charles Prince stepped down on November 5 as Citigroup revealed it was facing likely investment writeoffs of between eight and 11 billion dollars.

Analysts at Goldman Sachs believe the company could be forced to absorb eventual writeoffs of up to 15 billion in the coming quarters as the housing and credit markets show no sign of improving anytime soon.

Archbishop Takes Fire at American Globalists

Rowan Williams is the Archbishop of Canterbury, and in an interview with a British magazine he lashed out at the imperialists that are the U.S. government, mainly the neocons, by comparing them to the British empire in India. He takes to heart particularly the fact that members of this administration still believe that America is the "chosen nation" in that they want people to think they know what is best for the rest of the world. He states the obvious when explaining that the U.S. has lost any sort of "moral high ground" since 9/11, and especially with the criminal war of Iraq. Williams knows that if the neocons were to have their way, war will be spread into Syria and Iran soon enough. It is alarming that so many Americans still believe this kind of objectivity is 'anti-American.' It is time to remind the country what liberty really means.

He went on to suggest that the West was fundamentally adrift: “Our modern western definition of humanity is clearly not working very well. There is something about western modernity which really does eat away at the soul.”

Williams suggested American leadership had broken down: “We have only one global hegemonic power. It is not accumulating territory: it is trying to accumulate influence and control. That’s not working.”

He contrasted it unfavourably with how the British Empire governed India. “It is one thing to take over a territory and then pour energy and resources into administering it and normalising it. Rightly or wrongly, that’s what the British Empire did — in India, for example.

“It is another thing to go in on the assumption that a quick burst of violent action will somehow clear the decks and that you can move on and other people will put it back together — Iraq, for example.”

Militants in Iraq Come From Allies; 41% From Saudi Arabia

As if you needed any more proof that you shouldn't believe much of anything the U.S. government says about Iran, there now appears to be evidence that the suspected insurgents in Iraq actually come from 'strategic' allies in the region, and not from Iran. As the pro-war establishment here continues to spread lies in their rhetoric for a strike on Iran, the American media chooses to ignore these kind of findings, because in this case the findings make Iran look quite good compared to what they would like you to think.

Around 60% of all foreign militants who entered Iraq to fight over the past year came from Saudi Arabia and Libya, according to files seized by American forces at a desert camp.

The files listed the nationalities and biographical details of more than 700 fighters who crossed into Iraq from August last year, around half of whom came to the country to be suicide bombers, the New York Times reported today.

In all, 305, or 41%, of the fighters listed were from Saudi Arabia. Another 137, or 18%, came from Libya. Both countries are officially US allies in anti-terrorism efforts.

In contrast, 56 Syrians were listed and no Lebanese. Previously, US officials estimated that around a fifth of all foreign fighters in Iraq came from these two countries.

US officials have also long complained about Iranian interference in the affairs of its neighbour, accusing Tehran of shipping weapons for militants over the border. However, any assistance does not appear to extend to people, the paper said, reporting that, of around 25,000 suspected militants in US custody in Iraq, 11 were Iranian. No Iranians were listed among the fighters whose details were found.

Ron Paul Dominates Recent Zogby Poll

A Zogby poll sponsored by Alex Jones' media company Jones Productions was done last week, and there were two separate polls. All were blind bio polls, which means they don't name any names, and simply recite each candidate's resume and views. One was done featuring calls to likely voters that are staunchly Republican, which means many whom foolishly want us in Iran, and still believe in what they've heard the past 6 years from their government about 'terrorists' and the like. Giuliani won that poll of 389 folks with 34%, with Ron Paul coming in at 13%, and 9% who were undecided.

The other poll repeated the echoes of Paul's increasing momentum, and was a mixture of 1009 voters featuring everyone from Republicans, Democrats, and independents. Paul won that with 33%, and next was Giuliani with 19%; 20% were undecided. This is significant because the typical Zogby and other phone polls done targeting likely Republican voters usually involve older folks that are really set in their ways, and don't exactly look at the big scheme of things. They are also part of the age group that have gotten the country into this mess, but that is another story. The older phone poll crowd also historically fails to show up big at the primaries, and lack of enthusiasm in other Republican candidates works very well in Paul's favor. Zogby decided to highlight the smaller poll of older conservatives in their article and on their main website, but it can be noted as always that Ron Paul supporters are located all over the political spectrum, and the opposition knows that they can't count on anyone from the Paul side to not show up come primary time. Jones plans to sponsor at least one other set of blind bio polls in the near future.

Fox Host: Confronters of Bad Government Should be Tased and Beaten

Faux News' Brian Kilmead, just another greasy-headed neocon scumbag, said on the Fox and Friends morning show Monday (w/ video) that public confronters of politicians are somehow threatening, and they should be tased and "beaten to a pulp." He was directing that particularly towards the Code Pink activists, who just last week confronted Hillary Clinton at a forum in Los Angeles on global warming, heckling the neocon in disguise during a speech. Kilmead went on to include some recent incidents which were devised by the We Are Change group in his argument. Other completely stupid statements by this guy lately include proposing car bombs and other forms of terrorism in Iran.

In the world of Faux News and other mainstream establishment media, anyone who goes against the government should be punished accordingly. How they can still have the nerve to call that a democracy is beyond me. These are the real domestic enemies, and none care to pick up a history book anymore to truly see what they're repeating. What is 'threatening' is people like Kilmead in the mainstream media, who like to let everyone know on national television that they're fully aware of the bad deeds being conjured up by our government, and continue to spin it in ways that make it look legitimate to the unsuspecting layman. The info war with the mainstream media continues as they attempt to ridicule truth-seekers as terrorists. As you can see, they must be losing.

Economists Say They Expect the Fed to Cut Rates At Least a Quarter

Yesterday the Fed stated that they expect slower (artificial) economic growth for next year, of around 1.8-2.5 percent. What a bold statement to make, such as increased inflation would be. Economist Brian Bethune says that he believes because the Fed's growth outlook is actually a bit high, predicted rate cuts are a probability by early next year, and could be more than just another 0.25% cut. This is no new news, but is notable because the dollar is falling to all-time lows against other major currencies even this week, and rich celebrities and big oil states in the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, are all dumping or thinking about dumping the U.S. Dollar, setting off a tidal wave of selling and diversifying; all happening to bail out the crooked corporate banks and irresponsible American consumers.

Bethune said despite the Fed's noncommital position, he expects the central bank to lower borrowing costs further after two reductions that brought the federal funds rate to 4.5 percent.

"The downside risks to the outlook far outweigh the upside risks," he said.

"Thus the Fed's central tendency forecast does look a little rich to us at the current conjuncture, and for that reason we are forecasting that the Fed will reduce the federal funds rate by at least an additional 25 basis points by early 2008."

Financial markets are largely pricing in a rate cut and many analysts see a reduction at the next Fed meeting in December.

"The next FOMC decision will depend on ongoing economic data. However, the minutes published today comfort us in our expectations" for a cut, said economist Marie-Pierre Ripert at Ixis Corporate and Investment Bank.

"We still believe that bad news on the macro side as well as on banks will trigger further easing in monetary policy. A 25 basis-point cut on December 11 remains the most likely scenario even though it could be a close call."

The Fed report projected core inflation expectation for 2008 to 1.70 to 1.90 percent, down from 1.75 to 2.00 percent.

Irony: Bush Says Musharraf Hasn't Crossed Any Lines

In a great deal of irony yesterday, dictator King Bush said in an interview that Pakistani dictator-in-chief Pervez Musharraf has not crossed the line in his enactment of martial law and arresting of any and all political opponents. The irony here is that this is exactly what our government has setup to happen here, especially with the passing of an 'ideological terrorist' thought crime bill (HR 1955) tallied 404-6 in the House by our traitor politicians, that is expected to pass easily through the Senate. It is getting increasingly tougher to question the decisions made by our criminals in congress. I invite Bush to visit Pakistan and stand up on a podium with a big loudspeaker, and proceed to tell the people there that their president has not crossed any lines. If it is done here, be sure that it will be under a false label of 'national security.' Democrats have come out to rip into Bush's comments, but they're only doing it one reason: votes. If they cared about democracy, they wouldn't have allowed things to get like this. When are all the political prisoners here going to be released, hypocrites?

Bush was asked in the interview if there is any line Musharraf should not cross. "He hasn't crossed the line. As a matter of fact, I don't think that he will cross any lines," Bush replied, according to an ABC transcript. ". . . We didn't necessarily agree with his decision to impose emergency rule, and . . . hopefully he'll get . . . rid of the rule. Today, I thought, was a pretty good signal, that he released thousands of people from jail."

Scott McClellan 'Tells All' in New Book

Former Bush puppet spin doctor, or White House Press Secretary, Scott McClellan made a living lying for the president after the whole Iraq WMD debacle, and now he wants to make some money writing about those lies. There is something infuriating about our government's ways when they get paid to lie, destroy our freedoms, and contribute to a criminal empire, then when they leave office they're able to seemingly redeem themselves by writing books and getting paid big money for ridiculous speeches. It is only till now that the traitorous leaders of this country have been confronted everywhere they go when they leave office, and rightly so. They have sowed their own fate in this country, and they will forever pay dearly for those retirement checks.

Anyway, McClellan has released an excerpt from his upcoming book, where he plans to allegedly tell the truth about his stay in the White House. That 'truth' will be certainly skewed in such a way to make the chubby weasel look like a good guy. One of the subjects he will bring up will be the Valerie Plame incident:

"The most powerful leader in the world had called upon me to speak on his behalf and help restore credibility he lost amid the failure to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. So I stood at the White house briefing room podium in front of the glare of the klieg lights for the better part of two weeks and publicly exonerated two of the senior-most aides in the White House: Karl Rove and Scooter Libby.

There was one problem. It was not true.

I had unknowingly passed along false information. And five of the highest ranking officials in the administration were involved in my doing so: Rove, Libby, the vice President, the President's chief of staff, and the president himself."

Outgoing HLS Aide Compares Bush to George Washington

Francis Townsend, a 'top' aide to Bush in the homeland security department for more than three years, resigned this morning, and as always, political puffery followed. She implied her reasoning for resigning had nothing to do with Bush's failures as a president, and even wrote a letter to Bush putting him in the same light as George Washington. One can only feel the urge to vomit when reading it, as she implies that he has lifted up the lives of Americans, and the world we live in. I am sure Mr. Washington himself would agree. Sarcasm aside, it certainly leaves a sick feeling in your stomach to watch as our government destroys every ideal our founders worked so hard to put upon us, and then compare themselves to such great men in our history.

... "In 1937, the playwright Maxwell Anderson wrote of President George Washington: "There are some men that lift the age they inhabit, till all men walk on higher ground in their lifetime." Mr. President, you are such a man. ..."

Another Study Says a Key Compound in Marijuana Treats Forms of Cancers; Possible Alternative to Chemo

The argument that there are no medical benefits from marijuana have been cut down repeatedly over the years, from everything to substantially proficient pain relief of many ailments to possibly curing numerous diseases and cancers. The government repeatedly refuses to give the facts the light of day, putting their own profits and political agendas in front of simple citizens and their health, and continuing its imprisonment of millions of nonviolent, no-harm users. Until Americans wise up and realize that there is more to the war on drugs than they truly know with a plague of government profiteering and corruption, and put away their stubborn ideals like "well I don't like drugs, so there should be a law," all suffering and curable citizens with potentially beneficial factors are just plain out of luck. Our government repeatedly puts politics and profiting over any sort of medical treatment that could help the citizens they now RULE over, including banning treatments that have proven to work, that are allowed in many first world countries overseas. Anyone that sides with these government officials deserves the same harsh treatment, and that includes voting them into office.

The California Pacific Medical Center Research Institute team are hopeful that cannabidiol or CBD could be a non-toxic alternative to chemotherapy.

Unlike cannabis, CBD does not have any psychoactive properties so its use would not violate laws, Molecular Cancer Therapeutics reports.

The authors stressed that they were not suggesting patients smoke marijuana.

They added that it would be highly unlikely that effective concentrations of CBD could be reached by smoking cannabis.

CBD works by blocking the activity of a gene called Id-1 which is believed to be responsible for the aggressive spread of cancer cells away from the original tumour site - a process called metastasis.

Past work has shown CBD can block aggressive human brain cancers.

The latest work found CBD appeared to have a similar effect on breast cancer cells in the lab.

Lead researcher Dr Sean McAllister said: "Right now we have a limited range of options in treating aggressive forms of cancer.

"Those treatments, such as chemotherapy, can be effective but they can also be extremely toxic and difficult for patients.

"This compound offers the hope of a non-toxic therapy that could achieve the same results without any of the painful side effects."

Dr Joanna Owens of Cancer Research UK said: "This research is at a very early stage.

"The findings will need to be followed up with clinical trials in humans to see if the CBD is safe, and whether the beneficial effects can be replicated.

"Several cancer drugs based on plant chemicals are already used widely, such as vincristine - which is derived from a type of flower called Madagascar Periwinkle and is used to treat breast and lung cancer. It will be interesting to see whether CBD will join them."

Maria Leadbeater of Breast Cancer Care said: "Many people experience side-effects while having chemotherapy, such as nausea and an increased risk of infection, which can take both a physical and emotional toll.

"Any drug that has fewer side-effects will, of course, be of great interest."

But she added: "It is clear that much more research needs to be carried out."

McCain Thinks He Has the Best Chance to Beat Clinton

John McCain put a transparent spin on things in front of a crowd of clueless voters in New Hampshire Sunday. A total flip-flopper himself, he tried to make it look like a good thing in front of people that have never cared enough to know the truth about their country's government. He called Hillary Clinton out on swaying to the "more popular" side of important issues, including swaying back and forth on Iran. McCain made further attempts to make continuing Bush's horrid policies seem somehow reasonable, something Clinton's campaign staff pointed out, but didn't care to mention that she will be guilty of the same thing. They are both out for a neocon foreign policy, and Clinton is even increasing her popularity and support from leading neocons. McCain also talks up just recently being endorsed by traitorous failed 9/11 commissioner Thomas Kean. Yes, McCain is certainly one to lead America. Into war and economic suicide.

"I didn't seek public office to go along, to get along," McCain said, trying to remind voters of the "maverick" label that helped him defeat then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush in New Hampshire in 2000. "I went to Washington to get something done for the people who sent me there. And since then, I know I've made some people angry."

McCain said Democratic candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton has done everything she can to land on the popular side of most issues.

"On the one hand, Senator Clinton says we can't abandon Iraq to al-Qaida and the influence of Iran. On the other, she wants a firm deadline for withdrawal that would do just that," McCain said. "Senator Clinton rejected unconditional talks with Iran, but now says she would negotiate with no preconditions."

"I'm the conservative Republican with the best chance of defeating Senator Clinton, or whomever the Democrats nominate, and take on the challenges that confront us," the Arizona Republican said. "I'm as committed today as when I first put on the uniform of our country to the cause that has been the work of my life: the interests and ideals of our country."

John Bolton Hopes Americans Will Choose Another President with a Neocon Foreign Policy

John Bolton says that American voters should have foreign policy at the top of their list of demands for their choice of president. He wishes for another administration that will stray further away from our national interests, and seems to really think that neocons still have any legitimate support base in this country. He certainly doesn't want to realize that a majority of Americans want a total 180 in our foreign policy, and with his pushing that priority down our throats will only have the opposite effect on what he wishes would happen. He is right that next year's election will have a large bearing on our foreign policy, but if the actual majority of citizens vote with any sort of sense, it won't be what he has in mind.

Bolton said the next president will have to cope with countries seeking to acquire weapons of mass destruction, countries that already have nuclear weapons and long-term policy challenges from the rise of China and India and the resurgence of Russia with oil at $90 a barrel.

"The way the American president deals with China I think will have a major impact on how China sees itself and continues to evolve," Bolton said.

He said that in continuing the war against terrorists and dealing with the threats of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, the U.S. currently faces many challenges.

"These are acute threats to the United States and our friends and allies around the world," Bolton said.

Talking about the debate over President Bush's policy in Iraq, he said, "we lose sight that the president's decision to overthrow Saddam Hussein has brought the United States to an enormous strategic victory."

He said that the invasion of Iraq brought an end to the dictatorship.

"This regime was a threat to the United States," said Bolton, who added that the U.S. surge policy in Iraq is working and the level of violence is down.

Talking about Iran's alleged pursuit of nuclear weapons, he said that unless the U.S. is prepared to accept an Iran with such capabilities, the time for diplomacy is over. He said one option is a regime change in Iran and the other is a last resort of targeted use of military force against Iran's nuclear program.

Bush Admin Pushes Towards Saudi Arms Sales

In a rather obvious attempt to destabilize the region and benefit U.S. arms dealers, it appears the Bush administration is finally ready to move ahead with the long since planned arms sales to Saudi Arabia and other smaller, even more unstable states in the gulf region. That plan also involved Israel, which are getting well over a billion in missiles, fighter jets, and aid. Israel was even convinced into agreeing with the Saudi deal, or at least pretended to believe in the reason of building a force against Iran and Syria by aiding such an unstable and questionable ally. Of course they're only thinking of their own national interests, while our government is thinking of anyone but ours. Americans get the big screw as usual. The $10+ billion package for the Saudis includes everything from ships to special smart bombs. The argument that the selling of arms will somehow more stabilize the Middle East is completely bogus. Since when has the region stopped their racing for the biggest and best weaponry possible? This is of complete disregard and contradiction to our current national security and will only create even more hostility for the U.S. in the region. The neocons and their supporters are certainly at a race against time, and the Democrats undoubtedly won't do anything about it. It is just one dictatorship of suppression rewarding another.

The deals could be worth a combined total of $20 billion over the years, Pentagon officials have told Congress, which has 30 days to vote to block a proposed sale from the formal notification date, but rarely does so.

The pre-notification clock that started on Tuesday lasts 20 days, meaning the formal process could start as soon as December 4 or so -- leaving Congress little time to debate the issues before it recesses for the year.

The State Department and the Defense Department jointly laid out the rationale for the build-up at the end of July. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said the package would help "bolster forces of moderation and support a broader strategy to counter the negative influences of al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Syria and Iran."

Rep. Mark Kirk, an Illinois Republican, said some 150 Democratic and Republican members of Congress out of 535 had signed a letter he wrote voicing concern about JDAMs for Saudi Arabia, which remains in a formal state of war with Israel.

"The administration would be wise to listen to the voices of several prominent committee chairs, as well as ranking Republicans," Kirk said in a telephone interview on Thursday.

Israel and the Bush administration have agreed to disagree on the wisdom of selling JDAMs to Saudi Arabia, said Peter Rodman, who worked on the issue before retiring as an assistant secretary of defense earlier this year.

"But they're not going to fight against the administration" over the JDAMs, Rodman, now at the private Brookings Institution, said in a telephone interview.

"All of us are conscious of the growing strategic threat from Iran," he said of Israel, the United States and the Gulf Arab states.

Giuliani Does What he Does Best: Lies and Laughs it Off

Rudolph Giuliani has been dodging and lying his way out of questions dealing with his long-time criminal partner in crime Bernie Kerik being indicted on numerous charges last week. I am not sure who he thinks he is talking to when a person asks a question in a key early state about yet another lawsuit linking him. Certainly not a clueless voter that is void of any information dealing with Giuliani's past.

Say what you will about selfish Judith Regan, but she's definitely never shied away from speaking her mind and telling the truth when it is effecting her personally. Now when Giuliani says that Regan's idea that Rupert Murdoch's empire tried to silence her by firing and downgrading her public image, fearing that because of her close relations with Kerik in the past that she could unleash secrets about Giuliani was more appropriate for the gossip columns, who are you inclined to believe? Someone with nothing to lose, or a chronic liar with everything to lose? Like he repeatedly does when faced with an apparition, he laughed the question off on a campaign stop in Iowa Wednesday. He went on to actually claim he knows nothing about it AFTER he tried to paint it off as gossip, and we've heard that one before from this guy. He is having a pretty tough time as of late to not get caught in a web. Liar Liar Liar.

Judith Regan claimed Rudy Giuliani's cronies tried to silence her; now the presidential hopeful wants to sideline her to the gossip columns.

The Republican candidate said Wednesday the publishing queen's bombshell $100 million suit was no more than salacious tittle-tattle.

"It sounds to me like a kind of gossip column story more than a real story," he said on a campaign stop in Iowa.

"The last thing in the world you want to do when you're running for President is respond to gossip column-type stories."

Regan's suit, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court this week, claimed her old bosses at HarperCollins and its parent company, News Corp., tried to discredit her to protect Giuliani.

The editor, canned amid controversy as she tried to push O.J. Simpson's supposed tell-all book "If I Did It," had New York's former Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik as a client and a lover.

Kerik, who was mentored by Giuliani, was indicted last week on federal corruption charges.

Regan said her bosses at Rupert Murdoch's media empire were terrified she knew things that could hurt Giuliani's chances of moving into the White House.

They told her to hide documents and lie to federal investigators building a case against her ex-boyfriend, she said.

And they moved to paint her as an "unethical businesswoman devoid of any integrity" by letting her take the fall for the outrage Simpson's book created, she said in her 70-page suit.

"Defendants knew they would be protecting Giuliani if they could preemptively discredit her," the suit said.

Giuliani, a former business partner and friend of Kerik's who installed him as police commissioner while New York's mayor, laughed when asked about the suit at the end of Wednesday's campaign stop.

"I don't respond to the story at all," he said. "I don't know anything about it."

Farm Bill Will Have to Wait Until Next Year

There is absolutely no way even the most crooked crooks in Washington can get a bill of this magnitude passed in such a short time. Liberals and their politicians are so spineless that they repeatedly support and practice the art of squeezing their controversial agendas where they don't belong. Farmers are literally at the will of the clueless politicians in Washington. They are not listened to, and are simply forced to adapt to whatever law is put in place. The 2007 Farm Bill might be moving ahead with some light 'debate' now, but there is hardly enough time to get such an important bill passed before Congress is done for the year, in large part due to the number of amendments, of which plenty will have absolutely nothing to do with agriculture.

Illegal immigration is one such proposed amendment that will be attempted to ramrod any sort of overly large public debate on the issue. The immigration bill that the Democrats and some Republicans want to pass will be much larger in size than any since the horrible full-scale amnesty earlier this year. Even the DREAM Act would have given amnesty to over two million illegals in the name of no more than 80,000 immigrant students, and would have clearly rewarded among others, the anchor baby parents that decided to undermine and take advantage of our laws. The immigration reform proposed in this farm bill will probably give amnesty to over five million, and I suppose it's the liberal way to bring it up in such an unrelated bill that will affect millions of legal working class American farmers. If or when it's decided that a bill will not get passed, the farm bill from 2002 will be put in place until Congress reconvenes next spring.

After a 10-day deadlock, Senate leaders agreed on Wednesday to debate farm bill amendments that could range from subsidy caps and Canadian cattle to immigration and tax law reform.

Majority Leader Harry Reid said he hoped only a "finite number" of amendments would be offered and said Democrats could limit themselves to five. Reid also filed a motion, due for a vote on Friday, to limit the bill to 30 hours of debate.

"The time is slowly evaporating," said Reid, to pass a bill. Roughly three weeks are left in this year's session.

Once the Senate acts, House and Senate negotiators must write a final version of the bill to send to the White House, which has threatened to veto each bill as it now stands.

It was unclear which amendment, if any, would be debated on Thursday, said an aide to Agriculture Committee chairman Tom Harkin, Iowa Democrat. The Senate began debate on the bill on November 5 and has deadlocked over which amendments to consider.

Reid and Republican Leader Mitch McConnell agreed to limit the Senate to the 264 amendments on file as of Tuesday evening. They did not agree immediately over which would be allowed but McConnell said, "This is a little, small step forward."

Glenn Beck Gets Fascist Neocon Horowitz on His Show to Lie About Ron Paul

Media shill Glenn Beck continued his attack on Ron Paul Monday (w/ video) as momentum builds, and this time he got David Horowitz on his show to help him out. Beck goes on to paint himself as a libertarian (funny) 'at heart,' and actually had the gall to call Ron Paul and his supporters domestic terrorists, which he advocates using the U.S. military in that hopeful endeavor of stopping us. With the increase of martial law apparatuses coming up in congress and defense preparations against an 'uprising' of level-headed citizens that simply want to take their country back from these criminals, he certainly knows that that is a possibility in the future.

The fact that he had David Horowitz on to help him out is just plain sick. They want to attack anyone that doesn't fold into submission when told these lies about 'islamo-fascists,' homegrown 'terrorists,' and aren't succumbed to what they see on mainstream television. They do that without caring to know why people are getting aware, and simply do what they can to downgrade and ridicule them as dangerous enemies. So who really are the 'domestic terrorists?' Is it the people like Beck and Horowitz that are working against our national interests by spreading lies to the media, or is it supporters of Ron Paul? The info war rages on.

Then comes a plummy Brit who I think is one of Bertie Wooster’s friends from the Drones Club. Then Beck gets to the real point: we are a right-wing peace movement. And being for peace means you want to kill people, whereas being for war means you want peace, if I may distill the agitprop.

Indeed, we are seeing Murray Rothbard’s dream come true; the Old Right, the pre-neocon, pre-Buckley right is back: for freedom and peace, sound money and keeping the fruits of your labor.

Next David Horowitz decries the “strain of isolationism and anarchism” in America, especially as represented by “libertarian websites like LewRockwell.com,” which are “totally in bed with the Islamofascists and have turned against this country.” By country, of course, he means the imperial presidency’s war-spying-torturing-taxing-planning apparatus.

Murdoch Sets Sights on Full-scale Internet Acquisition

Special interest media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has long since owned the television and newspaper outlets, but now he's ready to tackle the internet with disinformation as well. He is already going to now be allowed to own TV stations and newspapers in the same area, and he has completely turned MySpace into his own little marketing device that pertains to his agendas, and his endorsing of Hillary Clinton can already be seen all over that website. Murdoch now wants to master the new technologies of the internet, and use them in the same manner as he 'uses' other owned media outlets. There is too much truth and information getting out on the internet, so they must put a dent in it. Just in time for the Iran war, huh Mr. Murdoch?

The chairman of News Corporation has told a meeting in Adelaide that the company will have to work hard to educate advertisers on the virtues of the internet.

Rupert Murdoch has addressed a shareholders information meeting, speaking about the competing technologies News Corporation must deal with, which include the internet.

He says the company is making headway through its social networking site MySpace, which now has more than 200 million registered users.

"It's taken off and we have to do a big job in educating big advertisers that this is a wonderful platform for them to sell their goods on," he said.

"We already do business with the 80 of the top 100 marketing companies but we should be doing it in larger amounts."

New Alzheimer's Study Cuts Risk Up to 60%

A new study by the Journal of Neurology has found that a diet of omega-3 oils can possibly cut the risk of Alzheimer's and other dementias by 60%. The study also discovers that a regular, preferably daily diet of fruits and vegetables can decrease risks by 30%, and regular consumption of fish can cut risks 35% in persons with no genetic risk. The study targeted 8,000 seniors over 65 for four years.

... At the start of the study, in France, the researchers examined the participants - residents of Montpellier, Dijon and Bordeaux - for signs of dementia and asked them to fill in a questionnaire about their eating habits. The psychiatric examination was repeated every two years. By the end of the study 281 of the subjects had developed signs of dementia, including 183 cases of Alzheimer's.

Palestinian Folklore Dance Group Catches Fire with 'Jews'

A Palestinian dance group known as the Al-Ghad Folklore Dancing Troupe has been barred in Connecticut from performing at scheduled events because of complaints from obviously brainwashed kids of Zionists, or fake Jews if you will. The kids complained to their family that the dance was offensive to Jews and Israel, most likely suffering from some kind of glue sniffing or something involving falling on one's head. The kids and several parents have said that it is controversial, and it seems to them that the dances depict Israeli soldiers terrorizing Palestinians. I suppose these people are against all TRUTH when it involves something so OBVIOUSLY bad in Israel's history that still goes on today, yet in somewhat of a less extreme manner. One could wonder that if these people have such a close bond and allegiance to Israel, they should actually brush up on its actual history, or at least move there. They are certainly not Americans.

A reverend at a local church where they had performed before has stated that the performance is meant to be less political by all means, and more cultural. He also went on to say that during their performance of mostly traditional dances, a student in the audience got mad during a section of the dance that the reverend described "certainly expressed the frustration of detention by Israeli soldiers and dealt with curfews, checkpoints and the realities of detention." The kid began spouting his mouth off about how Palestinians did not want peace as the dance depicts (the gall!) and even shook his finger out at a female dancer afterwards which the reverend has to break up. So who are the racists, hmm? I am absolutely fed up with these kinds of things going on in my own country. These people have let it be known that they don't support the independence of the Palestinians, that they are and were not allowed to fight back against terrorist occupation of their land, and they'll do whatever they can to stop the truth from getting out to the American public. They are simply taught that way obviously. I am beginning to wonder if these Zionists posing as Jews really know much about their own history. This is also yet more proof of what muscle the Israel lobbies flaunt in this country that this performance would get canceled in such a short time. This story is one to remember the next time you hear someone called an anti-Semite or racist. In this case and time, the aggressors won. Kind of like in Palestine, actually.

Town resident Ginger Horton says she felt compelled to complain to school officials after her two grandchildren told her they were offended by the troupe's performance at the high school Monday.

...

Horton says the grandchildren told her the high school performance depicted Israeli soldiers beating and torturing Palestinians.

School Superintendent Joseph Onofrio says he canceled further performances after learning several parents questioned whether it was appropriate for their children.

...

The performance by Al-Ghad Folklore Dancing Troupe of Beit Sahour was meant to be cultural and not overtly political, said the Rev. David W. Good, senior minister of the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme, where the troupe performed this past weekend.

But resident Ginger Horton said she felt compelled to complain to school officials after her two grandchildren told her they were offended by the troupe's performance at the high school Monday.

"[My] grandchildren came home very frightened," Horton said Thursday.

Good, who saw the performance at the school, disagreed.

"I saw nothing there that was anti-Jewish," Good said. "It was a cultural program ... Anything of this nature, given the realities of where they live, the political realities are a short distance away."

This past weekend, the troupe participated in the third annual Tree of Life Conference at Good's church. The conterence celebrates the work of peacemakers in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Horton, a retired Old Saybrook teacher, said her grandson, 15, and granddaughter, 14, told her the high school performance depicted Israeli soldiers beating and torturing Palestinians.

Good said many of the dances performed were simply traditional, but he acknowledged one was particularly upsetting to a male student in the audience. That more modern dance "certainly expressed the frustration of detention by Israeli soldiers" and dealt with curfews, checkpoints and the realities of detention, Good said.

The male student became angry and said Palestinians "do not want peace even though they talk about peace in their dances," Good said.

At the end of the performance, the student pursued the performers, he said.

"He was angrily shaking a finger in the face of a Palestinian girl," Good said. "I asked him to stop."

Horton said it was inappropriate for the public school system to host what she called a hateful, politically charged event.

"My concern was that it would be stopped, and we stopped it," said Horton, who also contacted the Jewish Federation Association of Connecticut.

School Superintendent Joseph Onofrio, who did not attend the high school performance, said a male Jewish student became "emotionally charged and upset" by the visitors' depiction of Jews.

"This was not framed as a political debate, it was framed as a cultural arts experience," said Onofrio, noting the school's social studies chairwoman previewed the performance last week at First Congregational Church of Old Lyme.

"What she [Carol Moakley] had seen appeared to be appropriate," Onofrio said.

Onofrio, after learning several parents questioned whether the performance was appropriate for their children, said he canceled the elementary and middle school appearances scheduled for Tuesday because the two school principals had not previewed the performance.

Good said the troupe performed before elementary school students in East Lyme on Wednesday, and at The Children's Storefront, an independent, tuition-free school, in Harlem for students in preschool through Grade 8, on Thursday.

Bob Fishman, executive director of the Jewish Federation Association of Connecticut, said Old Saybrook public schools should not host groups with a perceived political agenda. He lauded upset local students and family members who "stepped up."

"It was a very disturbing report [Horton] got from her grandchildren," Fishman said. "I advised her that it's not appropriate for a sponsor to say it's cultural when it's primarily political."

Fishman said his organization plans to discuss the performances with state legislators and top state education officials.

"These are public schools, taxpayer dollars," Fishman said.

"They were very careful" not to make a political statement, Good said of the troupe. "They were asked to share their dance, and share their story living in the occupied territory. They did so through music."

Private U.S. Interrogator Says Military Commands Grilling of Iraqi Prisoners Mainly About Iran

A private contractor working as an interrogator in Iraq has come out and said military officials are wanting information about Iran so bad that they seem disappointed when given any that doesn't involve them. He says the list of pre-topics mostly involved Iran, and the unreasonably fierce rhetoric in the U.S. about Iran fits the attitude over there. He also admits that a strike on Iran is "inevitable" without a clear change in leadership that comes from next year's presidential election, and the word over there is that they are desperately hoping for it.

They know damn well what bad consequences a conflict with Iran will cause. The article says that some intel officials over there declined to comment, but one defined the constant Iran rhetoric there as "sickening." The most relevant part of the article is the contractor stating that he would not willingly admit to occurrences of fabrication going on, but gave strong hints that that is exactly the case, as many prisoners are willing to lie in order to be released. We all know, lies or not, that they're more than happy to oblige as long as it builds their offensive against Iran.

'It now really depends on who gets elected President in the US. If nothing changes in the current course, I'd say military action is inevitable. But we have to hope there will be a change of course.'

He denied ever being asked to fabricate evidence, adding: 'We're not asked to manufacture information, we're asked to find it. But if a detainee wants to tell me what I want to hear so he can get out of jail... you know what I'm saying.'

Other military intelligence officials in Iraq refused to comment, but one said: 'The message is, "Got to find a link with Iran, got to find a link with Iran." It's sickening.'

Paulson Says U.S. Currency is the Chosen One

U.S. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson certainly didn't have a problem complying with the Federal Reserve commands to print money from thin air, that they stopped keeping records of. He usually speaks only when there is something to cover up, and he's been really flapping his jaws as of late. The U.S. Dollar closed at a stunning new low of 71.11 Friday amidst the speculation that the Fed will cut interests rates again, and it sank to new lows against other major currencies as well. Paulson wants the world to buy his bluff that the worldwide economy will screech to a grinding halt if something were to happen to the U.S. Dollar's reign as the world currency. That may be, but it doesn't mean it won't happen, because in a lot of ways, it's happening already. He says that America is the biggest economy in the world, but everyone knows that there is plenty of competition right now for that spot.

Reuters

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson on Friday defended the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency, saying the U.S. economy's strength, openness and competitiveness would "shine through" the current market turmoil.

"The dollar has been the world's reserve currency since World War II and it's been that for a reason. We are the biggest economy in the world, we are as open as any economy to investment, to trade, and we've had stable economic policies ... we've had good productivity," Paulson told reporters at an impromptu news briefing on Friday.

Paulson repeated the administration's oft-stated mantra that a strong dollar is in U.S. interests and that currency values should be set in a competitive marketplace.

He acknowledged he has heard questions about the status of the dollar as the world's preferred reserve currency. While the housing downturn and credit market turbulence are likely to have an impact on the U.S. economy, there is underlying strength, he said.

"I have no doubt that looking out over any reasonable period of time, you're going to see our strong economic fundamentals in this country shine through," he said.

Harwood Types Up Another Go at Ron Paul Hate

John Harwood is a... well he doesn't really deserve a description. All I'll say (if you've been living under a rock) is that he is a status quo writer for CNBC, he likes Pinocchio Giuliani, and has been at war with Ron Paul supporters since the GOP economy debate on CNBC. Now he is out to get Ron Paul more than ever. Likewise, the status quo warriors have all been out in full force this year with their anti-American rhetoric and ridiculing. Harwood has increasingly made himself think for months that Ron Paul has no chance of winning, and that his amount of supporters is somehow irrelevant. The only polls that matter to these people are the telephone polls (any poll that Paul doesn't win) that often don't even mention his name. This is becoming a common occurrence on NBC's networks, and it points out that supporters of freedom, the constitution, and the rule of law have much work to do in order to get out the word that there is a new force in politics, so that common not-knowing citizens can get educated on what's really happening in their country.

Harwood is hardly popular, and disagreed with often, but never was he called out on his disinformation in a way that raised his eyebrows like when the huge unmatched internet support for Ron Paul decided to vote (their right) on the online poll put on by CNBC's website after the GOP 'debate' on the economy that was covered by their network. They ended up dropping the poll and deleting its existence, infuriating Paul supporters because of foul play claims (only because a status quo candidate was not favored) that were not true. He retorted back several times to pissed off supporters, and made a name of himself in the Paul campaign. Now he is back with another little article bashing the Paul campaign after its big fundraising haul this week, stating the usual that Paul has no chance, and that supporters are simply wasting their time and money. He has provided a little hate poll asking whether or not people think Ron Paul has a chance, but most likely added it in for more ridicule in the future. These kind of hate pieces against liberty will only increase as Paul gets closer to moving past his original goal of $12 million for this quarter. They are scared, and they have every reason to be.

Our new NBC News-Wall Street Journal Poll provides one more occasion for supporters of Ron Paul to face the music. Yes, he raised an impressive $5-million in the third quarter, matching John McCain. Yes, he recently hauled in an eye-popping $4-million in 24 hours using the Internet. And heaven knows his supporters have demonstrated the ability to win post-debate online polls (see below), and to fill my e-mail inbox.

But look at the national numbers, Team Paul: he gets 4% in the Republican primary, far behind leaders Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, Fred Thompson and Mitt Romney.

Among Republicans just 11% rate him favorably--fewer than the 12% of Republicans who rate Hillary Clinton favorably! Nineteen percent rate him unfavorably, putting the libertarian-minded Texas Congressman in negative territory.

With numbers like that, Paul cannot win ANY contest on the Republican primary calendar, much less the presidency.

Could that change in a big way? Possibly, but anyone who bets on it would be foolish.

Desperate McCain Seeks $3 Million Loan

John McCain is ready to finally take out that loan for his hopeless campaign, even though it goes against his past opinions on anything like that. He wants $3 million to fund advertising in early election states, and a handout from the bank to keep up with the other candidates. He has already been relying on independently organized advertising in early states. He is rising in some polls somehow, but that momentum he thinks he has is obviously not translating into enthusiasm or cash. This is obviously a last ditch effort to curve Ron Paul's huge rise in New Hampshire, which will be the end of Mr. WMD McCain's campaign if he doesn't win.

McCain wrote a strict 2002 campaign finance law and has criticized independent advertising in the past. His aides said they had no knowledge of or involvement in any outside efforts.

Reed is not new to independent advertising efforts during presidential campaigns. He was the media strategist who co-produced a series of ads in 2004 by the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, who questioned Democratic nominee John Kerry's service in Vietnam. McCain, at the time, condemned those ads.

The new group, a 501(c)4 nonprofit corporation under IRS regulations, is not required to disclose its donors, unlike political campaign and political action committees the Federal Election Commission covers.

Reed would not disclose donor identities. Asked if they were McCain supporters, he said, "Some are, maybe even all at this point."

He said the group is designed to promote a strong national security, limits in spending and vigorous anti-terrorism efforts while identifying leaders who best reflect the group's positions.

"Right now Senator McCain seems to be the closest to the group's views," Reed said. Others, he said, include South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham and Arizona Rep. John Shadegg; both appear in the first ad and both have endorsed McCain.

A disclaimer at the bottom of the group's Web site states: "As a qualified nonprofit organization, Foundation for a Secure and Prosperous America may on occasion use some of its funds for political purposes such as supporting or opposing persons who happen to be candidates."

Said McCain spokeswoman Jill Hazelbaker: "The McCain campaign does not coordinate with any outside groups that are making or planning to make independent expenditures in the presidential election."

Bad Peru Trade Deal Passes Houses, Ignores Opposition

Democrat leaders in the House were right. They did have more pressing issues than impeaching a vicious, dangerous criminal vice president (who by the way happened to say the other day that Hugo Chavez was the president of Peru) who is quickly drifting into senility. They claimed that they had more important things to accomplish apparently such as the passing of a very bad "free trade" agreement that was agreed to by the leaders of Peru only after a Republican-led blackmail attempt that ultimately worked, and helped along the way by the Democrats using the fast track rule in Congress to move things along undemocratically. It will provide catastrophic results for citizens of Peru, and it's not good for Americans either. Pretty much everyone hates it. But that doesn't stop this government.

The main effect this will have on Americans (but not limited to) is the promotion of off-shore jobs, lack of confidence in how safe the food is that comes through unregulated, affect farmers of peas and onions among other crops, and it provides way too much power for the big corporations to do as they see fit in order to keep their big profits steady. The impact on the people of Peru will be much worse. Thousands among thousands will be displaced to other countries. The deal will put a stranglehold on almost all Peruvian farmers of crops such as cotton, some of who barely make it year to year already. They will be losing money just by keeping their farms going, much less have enough to feed their families. That is their only way of making a living there. It will also allow big pharmaceutical companies to come in and steal knowledge and easily available medical life forms that they will use to patent and take away from the people there that need it, unless they pay a very big price.

The flaws in these trade agreements are endless. If there are this many flaws, and so many people are against them, why are they being forced on us you may ask? You really just have to look at who benefits from it, both in the short and long term. But hey; the government will be able to increase their secret drug profits at the tax payer and poverty-stricken folks in the middle of these "free" trade agreements expense, all in the name of the war on drugs of course. The deal still has to be passed through the Senate, but they have more stressing issues to deal with to be bothered with hearing from any sort of peasant opposition, like approving torture-lover Michael Mukasey to be the new attorney general.

The House of Representatives on Thursday passed a free trade pact with Peru, bringing President George W. Bush to the brink of his first trade victory since Democrats took control of Congress.

The House voted 285-132 to approve the agreement, which was revamped earlier this year to include groundbreaking labor and environmental provisions. The final tally showed 109 Democrats and 176 Republicans voted in favor of the pact.

The Senate is expected to give final congressional approval to the deal by the end of the year. It locks in Peru's duty-free access to the U.S. market, while phasing out Peru's tariffs on U.S. agricultural and manufactured goods.

Giuliani Partner in Crime Indicted on Charges

Bernie Kerik has finally been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges of tax fraud and corruption, among other charges that are being kept confidential at the moment. He is expected to turn himself in Friday. Aside from having significant ties to the mob, Kerik was the New York police commissioner during 9/11, and a partner in Giuliani's firm. Before all that, he was just a lowly hotheaded drug cop busting his fellow human scum with extreme prejudice. He is one of the many who think the American dream is all power and success, and when they get it, think they can do no wrong when advancing one's self so selfishly.

Skeptics can claim that this does little to no harm to Pinocchio Giuliani all they want, but it doesn't take a smart person to realize that Giuliani knew of Kerik's bad activities and mob ties. He was briefed on it all, and still insisted on supporting Kerik's promotion to head of Homeland Security back in 2004. Until Kerik was publicly scrutinized, Giuliani had previously denied ever knowing of any Kerik wrongdoings or affiliations. They are both chronic crooks and liars with major ties to the mob. Yes, you could write a 300 page book on all the criminal and gross activity in Giuliani's life alone, so whether this affects Giuliani's run for president or not is up to voters who actually care enough to do a few minutes of research.

CNN Suprises by Calling their Fellow Media Colleagues Out on Ignoring Ron Paul

CNN has been really the only mainstream television network picking up Ron Paul's $4.2+ million haul with any enthusiasm and lack of disgusting bias. MSNBC has talked about it some, but it was mostly on their early morning shows, and they consistently brought on anchors and guests that put him down. No matter the underlying reasons, CNN actually called out their fellow media on the lack of Ron Paul coverage Tuesday, and even offered some pretty shocking (but not really) proof. They pointed out that a tracking company has tallied that Ron Paul has gotten only 4695 references since August 2006, compared to that of John McCain, who has a ridiculous 95,005. The status quo is surely having a tougher time this year shutting reason up. Ridiculing their critics doesn't work anymore.

Libertarians Win 17% of Local Elections

Libertarians won 14 of their 81 slots in local races across the country Tuesday, which included mostly small-town mayors and city council positions; all incumbents were kept in office. They won four out of five races in Michigan, and others in Iowa, Idaho, North Carolina, Indiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. More information on the individual elections can be found at the LP website.

Washington, D.C. – In an exciting conclusion to the 2007 off-year election, Libertarian Party candidates won an impressive 17 percent of all known races in the United States that included the Libertarian Party. Additionally, all Libertarian incumbents won re-election. The Libertarian National Committee counted 81 known races for the Nov. 6, 2007 elections and had 14 victories spread across seven states. "Last night's election once again proved that the Libertarian Party offers a viable third option that many Americans take advantage of when selecting the leaders of their government," says Libertarian Party Executive Director Shane Cory.

Libertarians were elected in Iowa, Idaho, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina and Pennsylvania—54 percent of the states in which Libertarians ran. Libertarians in Michigan won four of the five known races in that state where Libertarians were involved—a stunning 80 percent rate of victory.

"The saying goes that all politics are local, and that's exactly where the Libertarian Party has its greatest influence," says Cory. "Decisions made by leaders at the local level are often the ones that have the most impact over people's lives, and the Libertarian Party wants to make sure that it's there when these decisions are made. The Libertarian Party's call for less government, lower taxes and more freedom doesn't change depending on what level of government it's made from. Liberty is liberty no matter what public office you hold."

While the Libertarian Party does not have any elected officials at the national level, the party does have Libertarians elected to local offices across the nation.

"The idea we want people to take from this election is about more than numbers and elected positions," says Andrew Davis, media coordinator for the Libertarian Party. "We want people to see that the Libertarian Party has been a viable third option in American politics for the last 35 years. The Libertarian Party exists as a real choice for voters who have long grown tired of picking from only Republicans and Democrats. This is democracy at work. It doesn't get any clearer than a Libertarian getting elected to office."

Fed Still Looking to Another Rate Cut After Comments from China

It is hard to really gather what is really going on in the minds of the U.S. Treasury and Federal Reserve. They keep right on printing more and more fiat money they stopped keeping records of, and the dollar is facing an all-time high sell-off, failing against about every other currency in the world. Now the chances of ANOTHER rate cut in December are said to be increasing.

China's Cheng Siwei said that their country will soon start diversifying and favoring the stronger currencies, which means, as they've openly discussed before, releasing some or a great deal of their greenback reserves amid the recent successes of Asian currencies. Henry Paulson, U.S. Treasury Security, shrugged the statement off as usual, saying that none of the Chinese officials he talks to have mentioned it. Of course not! Is that supposed to mean that it can't happen, or that there is no cause for alarm? That is absolute bologna. They want to keep bailing out the banks and big corporations, which want to screw common citizens at every turn. It is as simple as that. They clearly have no fears of causing a collapse of the dollar, and the government wants it to happen; so like they say about China's warnings, take everything with a grain of salt. Everybody wants to dump the dollar right now to not be the last one holding, but no one exactly wants the down turn that that will cause, and that is what the careless treasury and central bank are counting on.

Reuters

U.S. short-term interest rate futures rallied on Thursday, boosting the implied chances of a Federal Reserve rate cut in December as dealers dissected testimony from Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke.

Futures show as much as an 82 percent implied chance that the Fed will trim benchmark rates by another one-quarter percentage point in December, up from 70 percent late on Wednesday.

In testimony prepared for the congressional Joint Economic Committee, Bernanke said that the U.S. economy faces risks on both the growth and inflation fronts.

AFP
"This is the clarion call for all currency reserve managers around the world that the largest holder of US dollars outside the country is seriously thinking of selling them for other currencies," said Andrew Busch at BMO Capital Markets.

Busch, pointing to the tight global credit, said "the only central bank acting to soften the credit blow is the US Federal Reserve as this country remains the epicenter for the problem. Thus, the US dollar comes under pressure and subject to a potential exogenous shock ... like a shift in reserve management."

Market expectations are rising for a further rate cut when the Fed meets on December 11 because of an expected sharp economic slowdown due to a deepening housing slump and a subsequent crisis in the high-risk subprime mortgage sector.

"The market is still quite concerned about the fallout from the subprime mortgage crisis, so a lot of people are anticipating further rate cuts by the Fed," said Daniel Chan, senior investment strategist at DBS Bank.

Scumbag Neocon Pat Robertson Endorses Pinocchio

Pat Robertson has endorsed Rudolph. Now there's a pair. The fact that this was news today is astonishing. Pat Robertson should be institutionalized, not to mention forbidden of any media attention at all. Yes, of all 'evangelicals' Pinocchio Giuliani could muster up support from, he welcomes an endorsement from this Christian Coalition hateful clown. A vote for Giuliani is a vote for Pat Robertson. They're both lying idiots.

“To me, the overriding issue before the American people is the defense of our population against the blood lust of Islamic terrorism,” he said.

Giuliani fought for Robertson's endorsement for months, hoping to boost his conservative credentials.

“Having him aboard gives us a great deal of confidence because he has tremendous insights into what the main issues are, how they should be dealt with,” said the former mayor. “His advice is invaluable.”

Jewish GW Student Gets Caught Drawing Swastikas on Own Door

A George Washington University student, who just happens to be Jewish, decided she could get some more pity and attention for her Jewish causes by drawing multiple swastikas on her door. This kind of thing has been happening all over the country lately, and it's quickly getting around that you can't exactly trust anything they or their affiliated organizations and lobbies say. Word must have gotten around in the degenerate side of the Jewish community that this type of thing works, and is somehow tolerable to do, considering George Washington's student base is 30% Jewish. The female student who did this equally cowardly (as the 'anti-semite' word they like to throw around at every turn) act says that this was different from the prejudices they spend so much time fighting because she was just trying to get the school to 'recognize' that it happened before. She only came forward when the university set up a hidden camera and caught her. The media don't seem to want to give out her name, but it is Sarah Marshak. These pathetic acts have gotten literally unlimited media coverage, so when you see a swastika in someone's yard, don't always blame the 'racists.'

George Washington University officials said a Jewish student who complained about swastikas showing up on her door put them there herself.

The student lives in Mitchell Hall, where half a dozen swastikas had shown up on her dorm room door in the past several weeks.

University police set up a hidden camera. They said the girl admitted responsibility Monday.

News 4 interviewed the student last week after the fifth swastika was discovered. She did not want to be identified.

"It's a big story," said Jake Sherman, GW Hatchet editor. "Thirty percent of GW students are Jewish"

Reporters at the GW Hatchet newspaper have been following the story since it began. They said they learned on Monday morning that the alleged victim would likely be implicated.

They said they spoke to her twice by phone.

According to reporters at the newspaper, the student said, "I wasn't looking to create this sort of insanity. I wasn't looking to become a media darling. I was just looking for acknowledgment from the university that someone drew a swastika on the door."

The student now faces disciplinary action from the school and could face criminal charges.

Ron Paul Supporters Raise Over $4.2 Million

One could have projected this type of turnout after a couple of slow weeks for donations to the Ron Paul campaign, but it is still a rather big shock for the majority of supporters. There was such an overload in credit card transactions that donations were still literally backlogged shortly after midnight last night. The majority of press has been considerably fair with a few good surprises, but there are still plenty out there that don't like the idea of liberty or government accountability. They might find little ways to ridicule this accomplishment no matter what, but there are many more events like this already in place, and if four million isn't enough, maybe raising more than $12 million for the quarter will be.

Hypocritical U.S. Government Warns Pakistan About Enacting Martial Law

Martial law has been brought on the Pakistani people yet again, and it should be giving Americans a very detailed picture of how bad it will be if plans for martial law here in the states come into reality with another false-flag attack brought on by our criminal government's foreign policy. The plans are already in place, and have been for quit some time. The passing of HR 1955 was just further proof.

Now the Bush administration has come out and said that they do not support these actions, and it is not in Pakistan's best interests. In Pakistan, traitorous forces (much like Blackwater will be here in such a situation) are locking up lawyers, media personnel, and anyone that may or may not have anything to do with an uprising against wrongdoing, running them down in the streets like dogs.

"The government of the United States is deeply disturbed by the proclamation of emergency in Pakistan," she said. "We cannot support a path that does not put them back on the road to democracy."

"We cannot support emergency rule or the extreme measures taken during the emergency. Such actions are not in Pakistan's best interest and damage the progress Pakistan has made on its path to democracy," she said.

Musharraf, who seized power in a coup in 1999, cited growing Islamic extremism and hostile judges for imposing emergency rule on Saturday over the nuclear-armed nation of 160 million people.

He suspended the constitution, sacked the nation's top judge and brought in strict media curbs.

"We're urging that those people be allowed out of prison and that the press be allowed to report on what they're seeing, and that the television stations be restored," Perino said.

The Supreme Court was to rule imminently on the legality of Musharraf's victory in an October 6 presidential election, and government jitters over the upcoming decision are widely thought to have precipitated emergency rule.
What Dana Perino doesn't say is that the same thing will happen here if another "attack" on U.S. soil happens, and all facts point to this happening. If martial law is so wrong, why is our government so ready to release it on innocent citizens here? It is all about imperial power and prolonging tyranny, and the hope our nation is so dumbed down that they won't notice too much. Since that doesn't appear to be the case with the newly energized info wars, they will put in place thorough means of resistance that counteracts any uprising calling for any kind of accountability whatsoever. Accountability is the only thing that can save this country.

One of the Finest Examples of Disgusting Hit Pieces Against Truth and Ron Paul

The National Ledger is an absolute joke of a news publication basically based on purposefully wrong mainstream media agendas and useless pop culture tabloid blabber. So it's not so much of a surprise that they would release such a hateful article on such a huge day for the Ron Paul campaign, and the fact that the editors allowed this to be published shows that they don't exactly have a problem with what was said. Any other articles on the site that might have been intentionally somewhat unbiased are pretty much irrelevant now. The hit pieces today will be massive in order for them to try and counter any sort of positive media coverage, and this is the first one that has really caught my eye so far.

Ron Paul likely won't win a single presidential primary. He's awful on television and even worse in debates. Still his rabid wild eyed supporters that range from the anti-war crowd to tin foil hat wearing nuts to white supremacists to Libertarians that dream of "taking back" the Republican Party will definitely heap some cash on the 71-year old doctor from Texas.

...

I think that's accurate. That is a lot of cash. But what good will it really do? Paul's message has a very narrow appeal and no matter how much money he rakes in it won't bring people over to his campaign besides his fringe supporters. Worse - he's dry on television, (his Leno appearance failed miserably to create any mainstream buzz) and when he does get a little fired up in debates his voice turns into a high pitched squeal.

Handicapping him on electability is quite simple. He can't make it. There's no Ron Paul sound bite that ever plays well and he has no charisma. Paul is very intelligent, but that really doesn't help in a nationwide election. He also has some very good ideas, but one has to wade through to much tripe just to hear them.

Iranian Political Expert Says Iran's Enemies Don't Want a Legal Investigation of Nuclear Information

The U.S. government has been illegally enforcing sanctions on Iran even though Iran has been cooperating fully with nuclear watchdogs, and they're still pushing for a third round of sanctions in the very near future. They have repeatedly ignored the warnings from Russia and China, and amongst many reports of Iran not having done anything wrong. The U.S. wants the tougher backbreaking sanctions to be put in place, but cooperation has made that pretty much impossible. They don't want to play by the rules, and everyone not working for their criminal agenda in Europe is fully aware and knowledgeable of it.

Cooperation with IAEA will cause more division among powers

However, Jahanbakhsh Izadi, a fellow international expert, argues that the continuation of talks between Iran and the UN nuclear watchdog would inflame discord among major powers.

Tehran’s full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency has prevented the group to reach a consensus on the nuclear issue, Izadi observed.

Political expert Ahmad Bakhshayeshi Ardestani argued the U.S. will be unable to turn the “limited sanctions” into “more serious economic sanctions.”

“The Complexity of the issue and the powerfulness of the Islamic Republic of Iran have stalled a final decision” against the country for its nuclear program, he noted.

The current sanctions do not have any immediate and significant influence on Iran’s policies, so the U.S. will not eventually be able to achieve its objectives within the framework of UN Security Council resolutions, he added.

BBC Proves Israel is Helping the Kurds

The BBC has gotten their hands on legitimate evidence that Israel has been helping and training the Kurds along Iraq's borders. This proves that Israel is strategically attempting to ready themselves for engaging Iran, and anonymous Israeli officials interviewed in the video have said that they couldn't have gone through Kurdistan without the knowledge of Kurd authority. This report is a huge blow to the Kurds who are trying to decrease the worries in the Arab community that they're trying to take over the region in northern Iraq, and that they're not involved in allowing the Israelis into the country, as suspected by neighboring states such as Iran and Syria. Israeli government is of course denying knowledge of it, as they always do, and this will create a huge rift between the Kurds and other Arab countries.

Mass Illegal Chicken Plant Workers Test Positive for Tuberculosis

Last week Wayne Farms, a chicken processing plant in Alabama, performed skin tests on all workers after a former employee tested positive for active tuberculosis (the contagious kind), and the results were just recently made available Saturday. Over 25% of the employees, or 212 out of 765, have tested positive for TB. At least one has tested positive for the airborne type of tuberculosis, which is highly contagious, and they are expecting more. Almost all of the employees who tested positive were "foreign-born," but if they're working at a chicken plant, they're most assuredly here illegally. The bacteria can't be transmitted through the meat, but there are true American citizens working there that are in danger healthwise, and their safety should be of first concern. Situations such as this really should remind the amnesty pushers that the financial strain and violence of these illegals aren't the only problems they cause us, but the diseases and health concerns they bring over here is as bad as any of them considering the already increasing worries about what we eat.

"We have two (X-ray) technicians in the Division of TB Control to cover the entire state," Jones said. "For this situation, we've rearranged some clinics. We've made this a priority, so we have both of our technicians (assigned to Decatur and) working as a team to get them done."

Wayne Farms Sales and Marketing Director Stan Hayman said Wednesday the company offered to reimburse the state for the cost of the tuberculosis control efforts.

Jones said Thursday that he has a better idea.

"I appreciate their offer," he said.

"If Wayne Farms is interested in investing something, my recommendation to them would be to invest within their own facility to establish a pre-employment screening routine.

"If their intent is to invest, I wish they'd think about ways they can invest toward the future as opposed to reimbursing for a one-time event."

U.S. Scholar Links Bush Admin Neocons to Imperial Japan

Pulitzer Prize winner Herbert Bix has come out and said that neocons of today, particularly the Bush administration, are very closely related to imperial Japan under the late emperor Hirohito. Bix is an expert on imperial Japan, and has actually said for years that the comparisons between post-9/11 U.S. government are plenty. He has stated that the Bush administration's invasion of Iraq was far worse than Pearl Harbor, and it "will live in infamy." It only makes sense that he would come out with more statements against this criminal government as they attempt to dupe Iran into a war for imperial supremacy in the Middle East.

"The current American rampage in Iraq and elsewhere, not to mention the Bush administration's threats of war against Iran, so clearly replicates Imperial Japan during the period when its leaders willfully disregarded international law and pursued the diplomacy of force," Bix said during a visit to Tokyo.

Japan defied the Nine-Party Treaty guaranteeing China's sovereignty, signed in 1922 in Washington, when imperial troops invaded Manchuria in 1931.

Bix compared Japan's action to current US efforts to scuttle the Treaty of Rome establishing the International Criminal Court, which President George W. Bush argues could unfairly target Americans.

He also said that senior US leaders -- not just rank-and-file soldiers -- should have been held to account for the killings of 24 civilians in the Iraqi town of Haditha.

"US war criminality is justice institutionalised, as Japan's once was," Bix said.

"In today's America, torture is not only standard battlefield practice in the so-called war on terror. Torture is celebrated in American popular culture as evidenced by the popularity of '24,' a TV programme in which the hero confronts a ticking bomb scenario... designed to justify torture."

But Bix, a professor at Binghamton University in New York state, said he remained optimistic for change as most Americans were opposed to "the Washington consensus."
